Jori Wood, Owner and Pet Stylist

My name is Jori Wood and I am the owner and one of the stylists here at Hawkeye’s Dog Spa. I am fear free grooming certified as well as CPR and First Aid Certified. I have been surrounded by dogs all my life. I grew up with four large dogs and have always been super passionate about animals. My husband and I have two cats, Elara and Mazikeen, and a daughter named Robin. I started Hawkeye’s after realizing my dream salon does not exist here in Colorado. I was tired of working for salons where both the dogs and I were constantly stressed out. Hawkeye’s isn’t just any dog grooming salon, it truly is a spa for dogs. I enjoy working with all breeds and sizes but I especially enjoy working with dogs that have previously not done well at other groomers. I take a more holistic approach to grooming. My appointments are one on one, my products and equipment are top quality, my space is quiet and clean, and I am often using aromatherapy and music to promote a calm space. Quality prep is extremely important to me. I love getting a dog’s nail perfectly filed and rounded. I love getting a filthy dog squeaky clean, moisturized, and fluffed dried. And I love a thorough brush out! I prioritize exceptional customer service. If I have groomed your dog, your dog and you are now part of the family. I want to help pet parents best take care of their dog’s grooming needs. The industry is always changing so I am constantly continuing my education by attending as much seminars, expos, and workshops as I can. I hope to be a Nationally Certified Master Groomer one day. When I’m not grooming I love to spend as much time possible outside. I love to hike, longboard, ski, and forage. I also love to hang out with my husband, cook, read, and write. I am so excited to continue growing Hawkeye’s Dog Spa!
